Saturday, March 26 Learn to Quilt 2 "Zen"  Brush up on your accurate cutting and piecing skills and learn to look at color and value in a new way. The first part of the class will be devoted to cutting, and then, it's time to start piecing. Pattern purchase required. Quilt uses 16 fat quarters plus backing and binding. Sample is hanging behind the counter. Bring a lunch along, or plan to grab a bite at the corner. Time: 10:30am - 3:30pm $30 Saturday, April 2 Paper Piecing  If you missed the January or February classes, we're offering it again! We have scheduled a one-day Paper Piecing class with Bonnie. Stop in to pick up the premier issue of "Quilters Newsletter Best Weekend Quilts" for project details. Time: Noon - 4:00pm $25 Jo Morton's Little Women's Club for 2011 This year's Club has eight projects and will be starting up in March. Diana and Jennifer have been hard at work on the samples and we have one on display, as well as a poster showing all of the projects. The cost of $40 will cover the set of 8 patterns, which are available to club members only. We have a great selection of Jo's fabrics, and more will be coming in over the next few months. All classes have a supply list which will be provided when you register. Most classes require a working sewing machine, your own fabric, batting, thread, rotary cutter, and gridded ruler. Some classes require advance preparation before class time, which will be explained on the supply list. IMPORTANT CLASS POLICIES All classes must be paid for at time of registration. Cancellation with one week or more before class will receive a store credit for future class registration or merchandise. Cancellation with less than a week before class will forfeit registration fee unless there is a waiting list or you are able to provide your own substitute. We can only accept a handful of students since our classroom is so small, so please respect the teacher's right to a full class and a fair wage. Regular priced books, patterns, fabric and notions purchased for class will be discounted 20%, Please tell us at the beginning of the transaction if your purchase is for class. The shop is in an old house with poor insulation and circulation, so dressing in layers is a must. You may find yourself more comfortable upstairs in a T-shirt, no matter how frigid the outside (or downstairs!) air may be.
