Fabrics from last month's market are
already arriving, so we need to make room. There are new baby, novelty,
floral, and batiks here, as well as nostalgic sewing themed fabric - my
favorite at the moment. Do stop in and see what we have!
We have a couple of nifty gift items
that are disappearing rapidly. An alder wood ruler holder will help
bring order to your sewing area, and at just $12, they are a great
deal! We also have a sampler pack of travel size Best Press, with one
each of six scents tucked in an organdy drawstring bag. Keep your
favorites and tuck the others into your quilting friends' stockings.
Watch the next newsletter for details
on Jo Morton 2010, the QFL program (Quilter's Football League), and the
Collaborative Quilting block of the month program Susan is working on.
Jo Morton samples will be up in the next few weeks.

| New Fabrics
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Newest in the shop is "Sew-It
Book" from Red Rooster, featuring illustrations from the aforementioned
book, originally published in 1929. Our sample is ready and kitted up -
you can see the pattern at the Red Rooster Fabrics website.
Alice in Wonderland from Quilting Treasures is also based on original
book illustrations. This is not the Disney Alice!
There is fabric for an old-fashioned cloth Mother Goose book, and a
panel, companion print, and coordinates for a Mother Goose Quilt. Other
new baby fabrics include "Simply Baby" from Windham - we have a cute
and simple 9-patch made up and hanging at the bottom of the stairs. We
also have Marcus's "Itty Bitty Baby" in pink & brown and blue &
brown, awaiting invoice info to get it on the floor.
In for a couple weeks, Rouenneries from Moda's French General design
team is very popular, as are the new Lakehouse florals in pinks,
claret, khaki, and champagne. Painted Posies from Andover, in clear
bright colors and black have a European flavor.
Stonehenge from Northcott is in now, too. Perfect for a "Guy" quilt,
the fabrics look like marbles and granite and are in natural colors of
blues, greens, sand, and tans. Two different kits are available, and I
can't wait to see one made up! I do have photos of the ones I saw at
Market that convinced me to buy the whole collection.
Finally, we have new novelty fabrics trickling in. Footballs and
baseballs join the volleyballs and basketballs we already had. They
make excellent sashing or fill-in blocks for tshirt quilts. There are
fabrics with tattoos, cupcakes, donuts, chocolates, and chili peppers.
Last but not least, we have official Girl Scout fabric in, including a
whole bolt of Thin Mints! Yum! (Can't wait for my favorite Girl Scout
Quilter to come in and sell me some... but I think that's in January...)
See you soon!
Shelley and the people she is thankful for: Bonnie, Diana, Jean,
Jennifer, Judy, Stephanie, and Susan!
