It's the end of the year, so time to clear out
the old and make room for the new. Quilt Play will close early on
December 31st for inventory; store hours that day will be from 10am-2pm.

| Fat Quarter Sale

It's time for a sale! From today,
December 27, until Thursday, December 31, all fat quarters are 40% off!
Regular fat quarters will be $1.50 each, and batik fat quarters will be
$1.65 each. While supplies last, purchase 40 fat quarters and receive a
free storage box. Now is the perfect time to piece together a Turning
Twenty or a Yellow Brick Road, fill in gaps in your stash, or put
together a scrappy masterpiece.
Please note: We have been cutting fat quarters for weeks, and have
approximately 5,000 to choose from. We will not be able to custom cut
fat quarters for the sale, so come early for the best selection.

| Block of the Month starting in
January
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Join us for a truly liberating experience! Susan will be
running our 2010 Block of the Month program, using the book
"Collaborative Quilting" by Freddy Moran and Gwen Marston. Purchase of
the book from Quilt Play admits you to the Block of the Month. On the
third Saturday of each month (and the following Monday), Susan will
demo a new "liberated block." Gwen and Freddy are known for their new
takes on traditional blocks. We will all be using our own fabric for
the blocks, but there will be mini bundles of fabrics you may choose to
purchase. Dimensions and instructions will be given for 6" and 12"
versions of each block. You may choose to create 4 patch blocks from
four of the 6" versions, all 12" blocks, or a combination of the two.
Finishing instructions will be provided at the end of the year.
Books will be ordered this week, so reserve your copy now!

| Beginning Machine Quilting

Lynn Ray will be teaching a class in
machine quilting this winter. Date, information and supply list will be
posted to the website later this week. Various techniques will be
taught and practiced in class.
