Dozens
and dozens of new bolts have arrived at Quilt Play, and more are on the
way. We have received three new lines from Moda: Whimsy from Fig Tree
in soft blues, greens, creams, reds and caramels, which blend
beautifully with Mill House Inn; Bar Harbor from Minick & Simpson
in gorgeous red, white and blue tones that will work up into great
patriotic or just summery quilts (two samples in progress already!);
and Butterfly Garden from Kansas Troubles in their traditional deep
reds, blues, greens, golden tans, and neutrals.
Other new lines include Animal Alphabet Games from Quilting Treasures
and Windham's American Vintage. Both of these feature retro
illustrations in bold colors. The Animal Games panel would make a great
child's quilt or wall hanging on its own or with the addition of a
couple borders. American Vintage is a school themed grouping, with
children playing, math problems on a chalkboard, large letters, and a
great school collage print. Time to think up an end of year teacher
gift project with these!

| Beginning Machine Quilting

Another section of beginning
machine
quilting has been added for Sunday, March 21, from 12:30 to 3:30 pm.
There is room for two more students at this time. If we have enough
aspiring machine quilters, another section will be added in April or
May. Please stop in or call as soon as possible to register and get
your supply list.

| Rosemont Quilt Show Tickets
Available

Tickets for the International
Quilt
Festival in Rosemont are available at Quilt Play. Senior admission is
$8, good any one day of the show. Regular admission is $10 and includes
a ticket for any one day and a ticket for the Thursday night preview.
Tickets may be paid for with cash or checks made out to Quilt Play
only. Show dates this year are April 15 (preview night 5-9pm) through
April 18. Friday and Saturday the show is open from 10 - 7 and Sunday
it is open from 10 - 3. More information can be found at

With Learn to Quilt classes every Tuesday in
March, Quilt Play will
close at 4pm like always, then reopen from 5:30 - 9:00pm. Please stop
by if you get the chance!
On Wednesday, March 31st, there
will
be a ConKerr Cancer pillowcase sew-in upstairs from noon until 3pm.
Bring your machine and your enthusiasm and plan on a fun afternoon.
